Share & Tell: an open microphone

  • Kava Shteeble 94 Ralph Avenue Brooklyn, NY, 11221 United States (map)

the SLAPcollective is back at it with poems, songs, and straight up communal conversation + poet Abdul Fattah Ismail will deliver a few pieces from his collection Extended Syllables and more

our Share & Tell: an Open Microphone is where creatives and the community come to share their words

[every 3rd Saturday of the month]

the Collective offers an open room for performance, speaking aloud and storytelling. As we blend the gray areas between creators and audiences, we invite you to a mixed bag of creative works, thoughts, and ideas shared in various artistic mediums and general dialogue; get familiar with yourself, fellow Creatives and their muses. This month's discussion prompt: Purpose (of any sort)

Join us as the microphone is set for open, candid discussion and creative exhibitions. This is a space for you to share and speak your mind - through performance or just straight talk. No pressure to share or tell, we've got that covered but you're welcome to add your art and mind should you feel moved to do so.

Doors and music at 7pm - come early to get comfortable, snack and sign up to perform. We'll get started from there with performances at 7:30pm.
